OA05 – Ric Elliot (1933-1995) “Sunday, Capella, Queensland”

Born in England in 1933, Ric Elliot became known for his traditional Australian scenes. He was a self-taught artist, and recorded many of the older areas of Sydney. He also painted a series on such themes as Banjo Patterson and Australian bushrangers. He held numerous one-man exhibitions and is represented in the national collection in Canberra. The average price of his paintings over the last three years is $1,145 and a top price of $7,930 in 2023.
