    John Pointon resides on the Gold Coast and switched to full-time painting in the early 1970s. His first one-man exhibitions in Sydney in 1971 and 1972 created a sensation, both selling out in 90 minutes and 40 minutes, respectively. He has his own style and is a very collectible artist.
