Newly appointed Secondary Schools Special Religious Education teacher, Dave Battese

G’Day for all of you who don’t know me already. My name is David (“Dave”) Battese and I have been selected to be Armidale’s secondary schools Special Religious Education teacher.

About me….I moved to Armidale with my parents at age 3, completed my schooling at Armidale City Public and Armidale High and then on to UNE to do nursing, finishing in 1994.

Moved to Newcastle and worked with DOCS at Stockton Centre specializing in behavioural management. Lived in Newcastle until my marriage broke down and then 7 months later had a horrific bike accident. I moved back to Armidale and began a long road of recovery; physically, mentally and emotionally.

Since moving home I have been re-trained as a teacher and met a wonderful lady Georgie who is now my wife and helps me care for my 3 lovely children from my first marriage. I have been working as a casual teacher in a number of Armidale schools. God has constantly directed and ordered my life’s path as he promised to and now I stand again healed and with a burning passion to shine his love and hope to a lost and broken world.

I know I am where God wants me to be and am full of excitement and expectancy about what God will do in our schools this year. I am honoured to represent the churches of Armidale and will do all I can to present a clear picture of God’s love and our unity in Christ.

God bless you all and thank you for your prayer support.

Yours in Christ,

Dave.
